Field Engineer

Due to continued growth, Innovair are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking individual to join their team as a Field Engineer. 

 

Field Engineer is responsible for undertaking onshore or offshore survey / inspection scopes using remote robotic technology and techniques. The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent technical skills, be a good communicator, and pay meticulous attention to detail. Candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve problems, improve efficiency, mitigate risk, encourage business growth, enhance and sustain relations with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will also be expected to perform and manage specific field operations onshore and offshore. There maybe a requirement to travel overseas or be away from base for multiple nights.

  • Field engineers oversee the maintenance of different types of inspection and survey equipment and follow regulations that cover maintenance or safe use of that equipment. 

  • Use specialist software to analyse survey / inspection data and produce reports – data output to the client’s requirements.

  • Offer technical, operational, and administrative information, and resolution of technical issues to managers and staff.

  • Execute the assigned task efficiently and safely, in accordance with department procedures.

  • Establish good working relationships and communication with both client and other service companies.

  • Ensure timely completion of assigned projects.

  • Provide ad-hoc reports to clients and senior management.

Core Skills and Competencies:

  • Qualification to degree level in an Engineering discipline or demonstrate considerable relevant industry experience.

  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Must be able to multi-task and work to agreed schedules.

  • Will be self-motivated and pro-active.

  • Will have the ability to solve problems effectively and in a timely manner out on site.

  • Demonstrated written, communication, verbal and IT skills.

  • A medium to high level of computer literacy (internet, MS Office applications, database Management, document control).

 

Desirable Skills & Competencies:

  • PFCO License and experience in piloting drones

  • Experience or interest with LiDAR, photogrammetry and mobile mapping systems

  • Full UK driving license

  • Industry standard prerequisites required for Offshore Mobilisation (e.g. Survival / Mist /Medical etc.)
