FLARE STACKS

Using a drone to conduct a flare stack inspection dramatically reduces cost as the flare is able to remain live during the process. With the use of a stabilised drone along with highly sensitive sensors and experienced pilots, Innovair capture accurate and actionable data for offshore and onshore clients. Detailed inspection and monitoring can be used for a number of purposes including asset integrity, during shutdown periods or planning for remedial repairs of the flare and associated structure. We can supply deliverables such as pdf reports detailing inspection findings supported by photographs of all defects identified.

 

We can also produce highly accurate 3D models of the flare and structure using the survey data collected. This approach also removes any safety risks associated with sending personnel up the flare access ladders to complete the surveys.

 

 

 
 

VENTS & EXHAUSTS

Robotic technology is being used as a screening tool by  operations teams in order to decide where further maintenance and manned inspection work must be carried out. To inspect those hard-to-reach assets such as vents, ducts and exhausts can take weeks of rope-access teams or scaffolding but now, using technology such as caged drones and crawler systems, we can complete it inspections remotely in a matter of days. 

We are able to mobilise at a moment’s notice and rapidly and safely assess complex structures providing expert inspections without putting personnel at risk by working at height or building time consuming scaffold.

INDUSTRIAL CHIMNEYS

Industrial chimneys can be complicated, wind sensitive structures and issues experienced are often very specific to this type of structure. We can inspect chimneys externally and internally checking for defects using our portfolio of robotic solutions. Following an inspection, a comprehensive report is compiled by our dedicated team of Inspection Engineers. By using drone technology including caged drones for internal inspection allows our clients to identify and assess the general condition of the structure.

 

As well as completing detailed inspections we can generate 2D and 3D models from captured survey information and existing drawings. High resolution 3D models can be used for planning purposes, remedial repairs or determining the structural integrity of existing assets.

COOLING TOWERS

Cooling Towers are huge structures which can soar up to 250m high. For this reason, inspection and maintenance can be complex with access limited. Traditional techniques by a team of steeple jacks using cradle lifting aids could take weeks while we can inspect a cooling tower within days using our specialist inspection drone systems. Our inspection pilots are fully trained and qualified for detailed surveys on the condition of the concrete structure, brickwork & coatings, lightening rods and other cooling tower features.
