As Innovair expands its advanced inspection capability, we are seeking an Advanced NDT Technical Lead to develop and embed advanced NDT techniques across our robotic inspection services.
Role Overview
The Advanced NDT Technical Lead provides technical leadership for advanced non-destructive testing within Innovair.
You will lead the development, qualification, and governance of advanced NDT techniques, working closely with robotics engineers and delivery teams to ensure methods can be successfully deployed via robotic systems. The role is hands-on during early projects and first-of-kind deployments, while building the procedures, training, and standards required for scalable delivery.
Why this role exists
Innovair is deploying increasingly advanced inspection techniques via robotic systems. This role exists to ensure advanced NDT methods are correctly selected, qualified, governed, and embedded within the business, enabling confident delivery of complex inspection scopes and reducing reliance on external specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development and qualification of advanced NDT techniques aligned to Innovair service lines.
Act as Innovair’s internal technical lead for advanced NDT methodology and standards.
Work closely with robotics engineers to ensure ANDT techniques are deployable via robotic systems.
Define NDT procedures, method statements, and inspection requirements.
Support training and competency development of delivery teams.
Provide authoritative NDT input into proposals, tenders, and technical clarifications.
Support early project delivery and new technique introduction.

Advanced NDT techniques are validated and in live delivery
Delivery teams are trained and competent in approved methods
Strong technical confidence during bids and mobilisation through clearly defined and validated NDT methodologies
Increased client confidence in Innovair’s inspection credibility

Skills & Experience
Essential
Strong technical background in advanced NDT techniques.
Experience developing, qualifying, or applying ANDT methodologies.
Ability to apply NDT in complex or non-standard deployment scenarios.
Confidence engaging with engineers, inspectors, and clients on technical matters.
Desirable
Exposure to robotic or remote inspection systems.
Experience in offshore wind, oil & gas, energy, or asset-heavy industries.
PCN Level 3 (or demonstrable equivalent experience).
