Drone Pilot Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Drone Pilot to support operational delivery of a range of offshore inspection projects. The role offers a diverse career in the field of inspection, using drones to undertake a range of projects to support our clients in the energy industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all drone projects are safely executed to the highest of standards, prioritising data quality and compliant with applicable legislation, Innovair’s Operations Manual and operating procedures. Our fleet of drones currently includes DJI M300, Elios2, Falcon8+ and WingtraOne drone systems.
This role will require the individual to work as part of a team, and will be primarily field-based, but may also be office / workshop based, or in remote sites as required
Responsibilities:
As part of our inspection team, you will ensure projects are carried out to the highest of standards, in-line with the company's quality system.
Advise best practice approaches, prepare RAMS and compile inspection methodologies.
Complete inspection projects on-site using drone technology.
Ensure all inspection data collected is of the highest quality, accurate, concise and correctly referenced for presentation & reporting purposes.
Manage inspection data and prepare inspection reports.
Assist with preparation and maintenance of equipment as required.
Maintain and develop technical knowledge of equipment and its operation.
Utilise Innovair HSSEQ procedures and work within ISO accredited system.
Build relationships with current and potential clients.
Core Skills:
Be able to demonstrate considerable relevant industry experience and have logged flight hours.
UK drone pilots ground school and practical flight (PfCO or GVC)
Desirable: Experience in leading drone inspections within an offshore environment.
Competent report writer and good attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Will be self-motivated and pro-active.
Will have the ability to solve problems effectively and in a timely manner out on site.
Training & Competencies:
UK Offshore Survival, Medical & MIST
Full UK driving license
Experience in piloting drones in an offshore or industrial environment (desirable).
Must be eligible to work in the UK
